Why labeling in Prep Station

01

Design it your way

Drag blocks onto a real-size canvas and print each item in its own brand colors instead of a marker scrawl.

02

Get allergens right

Allergens roll up from the recipe to the label, so the box tells the guest the truth.

03

Print the event once

Batch print every label for a sales order in one run instead of chasing the printer item by item.

The label is the last thing the customer reads. A handwritten sticker undoes a perfect plate.

At a big drop, someone hand-labels forty boxes at 5am and hopes the allergens are right. One wrong sticker is a returned order, or worse. The label deserves the same care as the recipe.

Take labeling seriously

The design belongs in a builder, the colors belong to the item, and the print run belongs to the whole order, not a marker at the packing table.

From design to dock

Design once, then let the order do the printing

Build the label one time, connect it to your menu, and choose the item's colors. When an event is ready to pack, the labels come straight off the sales order.

WYSIWYG builder

Design the label your brand deserves

Drop blocks onto a real-size canvas and place exactly what each box needs. Every template saves its own layout, so the same design prints the same way on every run.

  • Blocks for name, price, allergens, modifiers, dietary tags, ingredients, images, QR, and shapes
  • Millimeter-precise canvas with 1 mm snap, layers, alignment, and rotation
  • Start from Avery and Dymo stock presets or set a custom label size

Brand colors

Every item prints in its own colors

Pick a palette for a menu item and every template prints that item in those colors automatically. No separate template per color, no design work at the printer. Try the swatches to recolor the label.

  • Six curated palettes: Fire, Gold, Fresh, Ocean, Midnight, and Rosé
  • Or set custom Primary, Secondary, Dark, and Light colors per item
  • Leave it unset and each template keeps its own colors

One order, one print run

Print the whole event, then check it first

When the sales order is ready to pack, Prep Station gathers every label the order needs. Review the run, set quantities, and turn off anything you are not sending before you print.

  • Batch print all labels for a sales order in one pass
  • Per-label include toggle and quantity for reprints
  • Print or download a PDF sheet before anything ships

The last touch on every box

Send the event out looking like you meant it

The kitchen packs from the same order the label prints from. Right item, right allergens, right colors, right box, every time.

Templates ride on your menu items and print from sales orders and quotes. Allergens show up online too on your online storefront, and every batch is built for drop-off caterers. See pricing for plans.

Questions packing teams ask

Straight answers about the builder, brand colors, allergens, and batch printing.

What can go on a Prep Station label?

Blocks for item name, price, allergens, modifiers, dietary tags, ingredients, recipe names, SKU, images, QR codes, and shapes. You place each block on a branded template, so the label carries exactly what the kitchen and the customer need.

Can we design our own label layout?

Yes. The builder is a drag-and-drop, real-size canvas. Drop blocks, drag and resize them on a 1 mm snapping grid, reorder layers, align, and rotate. Start from an Avery or Dymo stock preset or set a custom label size.

Can each menu item print in its own colors?

Yes. Pick a brand palette for a menu item and every template prints that item in those colors automatically. Choose Fire, Gold, Fresh, Ocean, Midnight, or Rosé, or set custom Primary, Secondary, Dark, and Light colors. Leave it unset and each template keeps its own colors.

Are labels tied to specific menu items?

Yes. Assign one or more templates to a menu item, each with its own default print quantity. "Chicken Tikka" always prints the right label without anyone choosing a template by hand.

Can we print every label for an event at once?

Yes. Batch print all labels for a sales order in one run, so one event is one print job for every box going out the door instead of item-by-item printing.

Can we review before printing?

Yes. Preview the full run first, with a per-label include toggle and quantity, so you can reprint a subset or exclude items before anything hits the printer.

Do allergens on the label stay current?

Yes. Allergens roll up from ingredients through recipes to the menu item, so the label reflects the current recipe instead of a stale copy someone typed once.

What can the QR code point to?

The item's URL or its SKU. Drop a QR block, choose the source, and it renders on every printed label for that item.
