Profile & Password

Manage your personal profile, email, password, and security settings.


Accessing Your Profile

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner
  2. Select Profile from the dropdown

Profile Settings

Your Information

Field Description
Avatar Your profile picture (shown in navigation and comments)
Name Your display name
Email Your login email address

Updating Your Avatar

  1. Click your current avatar image
  2. Select a new image from your device
  3. Click Save

Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF (max 5MB)

Changing Your Email

  1. Enter your new email address
  2. Click Save
  3. Confirm the change via the email sent to your new address

Note

You'll continue to use your old email until you confirm the new one.

Changing Your Name

  1. Update the Name field
  2. Click Save

Your name appears in comments, mentions, and activity logs.


Password Settings

Access password settings from ProfilePassword or directly at your account menu.

Changing Your Password

  1. Enter your Current Password
  2. Enter your New Password
  3. Confirm by entering it again
  4. Click Update Password

Password Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • Mix of letters and numbers recommended

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your account.

Enabling 2FA

  1. Go to Password settings
  2. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  4. Enter the 6-digit code to verify
  5. Save your backup codes in a secure location

Using 2FA

After enabling:

  1. Log in with your email and password
  2. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app
  3. You're logged in

Backup Codes

Backup codes let you log in if you lose access to your authenticator app.

  • You receive backup codes when enabling 2FA
  • Each code can only be used once
  • Store them securely (password manager, printed copy in safe location)
  • Generate new codes if you run out

Disabling 2FA

  1. Go to Password settings
  2. Click Disable Two-Factor Authentication
  3. Confirm with your password

Warning

Disabling 2FA reduces your account security. Only disable if necessary.


Theme Settings

Choose your preferred appearance:

Theme Description
Light Bright background, dark text
Dark Dark background, light text
System Follows your device settings

To change:

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Select your preferred Theme
  3. Click Save

Language Settings

If multiple languages are available:

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Select your preferred Language
  3. Click Save

The interface updates to your selected language.


Deleting Your Account

Caution

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

To delete your personal account:

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Scroll to Delete Account
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Confirm by entering your password
  5. Click Confirm Deletion

What happens:

  • Your user account is permanently deleted
  • You lose access to any personal data
  • Team accounts you own must be transferred or deleted first

Common Questions

Q: Can I change my login email?
A: Yes. Update it in Profile settings and confirm via the verification email.

Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
A: Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. You'll receive a reset link via email.

Q: What authenticator apps work with 2FA?
A: Any TOTP-compatible app: Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.

Q: I lost access to my authenticator. What do I do?
A: Use one of your backup codes to log in, then disable and re-enable 2FA.

Q: Can I have multiple accounts with the same email?
A: No. Each email can only be associated with one user account.
