Publishing Your Store

Publishing makes your catering menu available at a public link. Until you do this, customers can't open the store.

Turn it on

  1. Open Sales & Finance → Sales Configuration → Webstore
  2. Stay on Storefront
  3. Turn on Publish storefront

The Publish storefront switch is on Storefront.

The page saves on its own after you pause. You don't need a separate save button.

When the switch is on, the ring on Storefront turns green and the page shows Your storefront is live with a link. Open that link to see what customers see. Use a private window so you aren't signed in as staff.

Note

Turning Publish storefront off hides the store. Your menus, orders, and settings stay put. Turn it back on whenever you're ready.

What customers need besides this switch

Publish storefront only opens the door. Customers still need:

The Menus ring on this page turns green once a menu is published. It lists those menu names. If the list says no menus are published, go publish one from All Menus.

Branding

The store uses your account Storefront Brand Kit (logo, colors, footer). Open it from your avatar → Account Settings, in the Storefront Brand Kit section.

Location overrides live under Brand overrides on this same Webstore page. Leave them blank to keep the account kit. Fill one in only when this location should look different.

Want the store on your own address, such as shop.yourcompany.com? Use Manage custom domain on the storefront settings page. The PrepStation link works without that.

The store menu includes Contact. That form is Get in touch. A visitor clicks Send inquiry, and the lead shows up in Pipeline when CRM is on your plan. See Working an Inquiry.

Common Questions

Q: I turned publishing on, but the link still says it isn't live.
A: Wait a second for the page to save, then refresh. The live line appears after Publish storefront is on and saved.

Q: Customers say they can't find the menu.
A: Check Menus on this page. Only Active menus with Webstore set to Published show up.

Q: Can each kitchen have its own store?
A: Yes. Webstore settings are for the location you're in. Switch locations in the navigation, then publish that location's store.
