Dispatching Deliveries
After you confirm an order, each delivery time becomes a stop. The delivery board is where you assign a driver and mark the stop delivered.
Pickup orders stay at the kitchen. They don't need a driver.
Open the board
Open Operations → Delivery.
The board is a calendar of stops. Switch Today, Week, Next, or Month to move through the schedule. Search by customer or order number when the day is crowded.
Today and Week sit on the delivery banner.
A stop with no driver shows Unassigned.
Assign a driver
Open the day, find the stop, and use Assign driver.
Assign driver is on the day's stop. A day with nothing to deliver says No deliveries scheduled.
Drivers are assigned per stop, not per order. A wedding with breakfast and dinner can use two drivers.
You can change the driver until the stop is delivered.
Mark it delivered
On the stop, click Delivered.
That records the time. If you marked the wrong stop, click Undo. PrepStation asks Reopen this delivery? before it clears the delivered time.
Confirm the order before you expect it on this board. A draft or an unconfirmed quote is not a stop yet. See Creating a Quote.
What the customer pays for delivery
The fee is calculated from Sales & Finance → Sales Configuration → Delivery Fees. The page saves on its own.
Flat fee is the amount every delivery pays, unless a threshold waives it. Area, zone, and distance pricing are on the same page. If maps isn't set up for your account, those three stay unavailable and the page says so. Flat fees still work. Contact support if you need geographic pricing.
On the order, Delivery fee shows the result. If the fee is managed for you, the label reads Delivery fee (auto).
DoorDash
If your own driver can't cover a stop, the stop can offer Dispatch via DoorDash instead. That's optional. The customer still sees your order. Use it only when that button is on the stop.
Common Questions
Q: The confirmed order isn't on the board.
A: Check the service date, and check that the order is Delivery rather than Pickup. Search the customer name in case the calendar is on the wrong week.
Q: I assigned the wrong driver.
A: Open Assign driver again and pick the right person, as long as the stop isn't marked Delivered.
Q: Can I undo Delivered?
A: Yes. Undo asks you to confirm Reopen this delivery? The stop goes back to unassigned work for that day.
